We understand that things happen and circumstances occasionally cause change. It’s our hope that our cancellation policy is a fair approach to circumstances that may cause you to miss a workshop or would prevent us from conducting one.
If you should cancel more than 90 days before the start of the workshop, we will refund all but 10% of the workshop fees. Alternatively, you can elect to apply 100% of your fee to a future workshop (on a space-available basis). If you elect to apply your funds to a future workshop, you will forfeit the funds if not applied within one (1) year of the original workshop date or when we discontinue offering workshops, whichever comes first.
If you cancel between 60 and 90 days before the workshop we will refund 75% of your registration fee or you will be able to apply 100% of your paid funds to any other workshops (on a space-available basis). If these funds are not applied to a workshop, you will forfeit them one (1) year from the original workshop date or when we discontinue offering workshops, whichever comes first.
If you cancel less than 60 days before the workshop you risk losing all paid workshop fees. We will attempt to fill your spot and, if we are successful, we will refund a partial credit back to you. The amount of the credit is entirely at our discretion and depends on several factors including how much cancellation notice you’ve provided, the amount of effort we’ve undertaken to fill your spot, etc. We will work with you as much as possible to get your spot filled as it does us no good to upset you as one of our potential future workshop clients. However, we expend a great deal of time, energy, and money to plan our workshops and once we get this close to a workshop, it is very difficult to fill an empty slot.
Circumstances Beyond Our Control
If a park closure, extreme weather, or some other event beyond our control causes us to cancel a workshop, we will do our best to arrange an alternate location. If alternate arrangements are not possible and the workshop is canceled more than 90 days before the workshop, we will offer you a full refund or full credit on any funds paid (directly to us) to be used on any future workshops. If you elect to use it as a credit on another workshop, the credit will be available for up to two years or until we discontinue offering workshops.
In the event of a cancellation, we are not responsible for any costs not paid to us including (but not limited to) airfare, lodging, car rental, or meals. We recommend travel insurance to cover any losses resulting from a canceled workshop or other unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from attending.
Minimum Number of Attendees
Some workshops may have a minimum number of attendees to conduct the workshop. If your workshop does not reach this minimum number, we have the option to cancel the workshop. You may apply your funds paid to another workshop or we will fully refund all fees. We are not responsible for any expenses you have incurred except the fees you have paid directly to us. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for any air travel and to fully understand cancellation policies for any lodging, car rental, or any other expenses you may incur to attend a workshop.
Some workshops will have an option to pay a deposit to hold your place. If you elect to pay the deposit only, the balance will be due 90 days before the workshop. If the balance is not paid within this time frame, you risk losing your place in the workshop. Your deposit may be applied to a future workshop and will be held by us for one year or until we discontinue offering workshops. If you have not used your deposit within one year of the original workshop date (or we discontinue our workshops), you will forfeit your deposit.
Depending on your circumstances, we may offer payment plans for our longer workshops. If you would like more information on options, please email or call to discuss at least six months before the workshop. All payments must be completed before the workshop begins.
